The comprehensive reform that Syria has been witnessing lately is manifesting in remarkable developments and promises significant economic growth. Having become an important regional center, the country is attracting the attention of many major international companies; this attention has resulted in diversified large-scale investments in many sectors including tourism, real estate, and industry.

Syria triggered the interest of many government and private bodies from countries all over the world especially export promotion councils and agencies supporting foreign trade in those countries. In support of these developments, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences organizes a number of domestic and international events, conferences, and bilateral business meetings between top Syrian businessmen and their counterparts from foreign countries who were attracted by business opportunities in Syria. These events provide gateways to Syrian and foreign industries and companies to enter new markets. Some of the events organized:

Taiwan Trade Mission to Syria
In October 2009, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences , in cooperation with TAITRA- Taiwan External Trade Development Council,  has organized the ‘Taiwan Trade Mission to Syria’ event where 20 Taiwanese companies of different sectors have visited Syria and held meetings with their Syrian counterparts, those meetings have been organized by Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences ensuring the fruitfulness of those meetings through matching specialties between companies and mutual interest between them, thus making the trip of Taiwanese companies worthwhile.


Syrian Trade Mission to Taiwan
Due to the remarkable success that Taiwanese companies have reaped in their business meetings in Syria, and to answer the needs of both market, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences has organized the ‘Syrian Trade Mission to Taiwan’ event in December 2009, with the cooperation of Taiwan External Trade Development Council - TAITRA, around 20 Syrian businessmen of different sectors have participated in this event, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, in coordination with Taiwanese authorities,  organized business meetings for Syrian businessmen and their counterparts of Taiwanese companies where those meetings have been an incentive for a lot of future collaboration between Syrian and Taiwanese companies.


Investment in Syria Conference
In light of the great deal of openness and collaboration on all levels between Syria and Turkey, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, in an initiative to encourage Turkish investment in Syria and tip the economic scale in Syrian favor, organized the ‘Investment in Syria’ conference, commissioned by the Syrian-Turkish Business Council.

This conference was held in the 30th of August 2010 under the patronage of the Syrian-Turkish Strategic Council in Istanbul, Turkey. Many ready-for-execution investment prospects have been tabled concerning public and private sectors to attract the attention of Turkish investors to the Syrian market. Simultaneously with the conference, bilateral business meetings have taken place between Syrian businessmen and their Turkish counterparts to explore possibilities of cooperation.


Syrian Trade Mission to China
Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, commissioned by the Ministry of Economy and the Syrian-Chinese Business Council, has organized a delegation of Syrian businessmen to many cities in China that has participated in many activities – The 4th Convention of the Syrian-Chinese Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation in Beijing, a visit to Shanghai World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, participation in the activities of the China-Arab National Economic and Trade Forum, and a visit to ‘Ningxia’ Exhibition for Investment and Trade in Ningxia, China-  On the sideline of those activities and in several cities, many bilateral business meetings between Syrian businessmen and their Chinese counterparts have been held, a visit to the headquarters of Huawei company in Shanghai and to China Development Bank in Ningxia.

Syrian-Brazilian Economic Forum
Commissioned by the embassy of the Federal Republic of Brazil in Damascus, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences organized the visit of the Brazilian Investment and Trade Delegation to Syria in 30/11/2010 headed by Mr. Miguel Jorge the Brazilian Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Syria was the first stop in the schedule of the delegation to a number of Arab countries, which affirms the importance of Syria’s geographical and economical position as a gateway to neighboring Arab markets. Many business meetings between Brazilian businessmen and their Syrian counterparts have been held on the sideline of this visit.

Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences annually organizes 'The Specialized Congress on Dentistry' in cooperation with the Office of Practicing Dentistry in the faculty of dentistry at Damascus University, and 'The Scientific Conference for Dental Technicians' in collaboration with the Syrian Committee of Technicians in Damascus Syria, those events take place simultaneously with the International Dental and Laboratory Equipment Exhibition- Dentalcare.
The company also organizes workshops and seminars alongside its exhibitions (BUILDEX, HEALTHCARE, INLIFE etc…) in addition to B2B meetings between exhibiting companies and their Syrian counterparts.
