Iranian companies enter the Syrian market through Healthcare - Syria: PDF Print E-mail

After a distinctive participation in last year’s edition of the International Healthcare and Medical Exhibition - Healthcare, Iranian companies participated again in the 14th edition of the exhibition that concluded its activities this Saturday at Damascus Fairground, Syria.


Mr. Khashayar Elyassi from Iranian company Behyar Sanaat Sepahan, stated that his company’s participation for the second time in a row in Healthcare comes to cement business relations with Syrian companies, and to look for distributors for the products of his company that is specialized in medical equipment and hospital beds.

Mr Elyassi expressed his admiration for the high level of organization of the exhibition  which was held concurrently with four other scientific and medical exhibitions which are: the International Dental and Laboratory Equipment Exhibition - Dentalcare, the International Laboratory Technology and Equipment Exhibition - Syria Lab, the International Exhibition for Medicine and Pharmaceutical Industry - Syria Pharma, and the International Exhibition for Chemical Industry and Raw Materials - Syria Chem.


Arabian Group for exhibitions and Conferences, the organizing company of the exhibitions, dedicated a separate section within Healthcare to support the medical IT sector. The section was titled: The Specialized Exhibition for Programming and Medical Automation - Medical IT; which showcased the latest technologies and programs in the medical sector, including hospitals and medical facilities management software, laboratories; specialized centers; and clinics management software, medical warehouses and pharmacies specialized accounting and inventory software, medical records software for hospitals and clinics, and medical engineering software.


Mr. Ismail Tawakkuli, Commercial Manager of Kimia Alcohol Zanjan - Iran, stated that his company and the other Iranian companies participated in Healthcare for the first time with the aim of getting to know the Syrian market and its needs and characteristics up close. Mr. Tawakkuli added “We heard about the exhibition from our friends in Iranian companies that participated in the exhibition before and reaped good results from their participation. This is our first participation, and we hope to find agency deals for our products, and be able to promote them among the specialized visitors of the exhibition.” About his evaluation of his participation, Mr. Tawakkuli communicated his admiration for the exhibition’s advertising campaign that is taking place in Syria or in other countries, a campaign that helped attract a good number of specialized and interested visitors.


It’s noteworthy that the 14th edition of the International Healthcare and Medical Exhibition - Healthcare was inaugurated last Thursday, 14 April, 2011, under the patronage of Syrian Ministry of Health at Damascus Fairground - Syria, with the participation of more than 55 companies that represent more than 225 Arab and international brands from 29 countries.
