Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences started its activity in the late eighties and is registered since 1996 with Damascus Chamber of Commerce under the category 'Excellent', which is the highest category in the ratings of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce.
Since the inception of its activities, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences has organized numerous successful conferences and exhibitions both in Syria and the region. The start was with the well-known 'Made in Syria' exhibition that was organized in a number of Arab countries including Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon. 'Made in Syria' played a vital role in presenting Syria and marketing its industries, touristic resources, and its cultural richness in that period.
In the nineties, Arabian Group for Exhibitions and Conferences entered the trade-event business by launching a series of exhibitions in Lebanon such as ‘International Brands’, ‘Syrian Industries’ and ‘Real Estate Projects’. In 1995, the company launched ‘Construction and Future Vision Exhibition’ in Lebanon which was witnessing rapid developments in building and construction.
The year 1995 marked the birth of Buildex - The International Exhibition for Construction, which was a landmark in the history of the company. Buildex achieved major success nationally and regionally and developed rapidly in terms of exhibition area and number of participants and visitors. The 16th edition of Buildex was held in May 2010 under the patronage of Eng. Mohammad Naji Otri - Syrian Prime Minister with the participation of 759 companies representing 2,188 brands from 57 local, Arab and international countries and was attended by over 200,000 visitors.
