SINTEX Textile Machinery Exhibition Starts its First Session in Damascus New Fairground
Dr. Mohamed Sumac deputy Syrian Industry Minister has opened officially SINTEX textile machinery exhibition yesterday evening at the fairgrounds in Damascus organized by the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences. SINTEX textile machinery exhibition is opened in conjunction with the international industrial exhibition "Big 4 Show", which continues until the 31 October with wide participation from all over the World.
Mr. Alaa Hilal, General Director of the Arabian Group for exhibitions, has highlighted "the importance of having such specialized exhibition in Syria especially as textile industry has suffered from many problems in our country. The exhibition offers good opportunity to meet experts from all over the world to reduce local production problems, including the possibility of replacing the existing production lines with more high quality ones". Mr.Hilal has expected the exhibition to grow more in the next two coming sessions and to be an independent industrial exhibition.

The new specialized exhibition is coming after a remarkable expansion in the number and quality of companies operating in textile industry. Many of foreign companies have participated in the first session of SINTEX through their agents in the Middle East and will display the latest of textile industries technology.

The exhibition will offer also a great opportunity to introduce the latest technologies used in all areas of textile industries and are represented in: textile machinery and yarn, looms - Machine Embroidery - Knitting machines - sewing machines and fabric preparation - Machinery for dyeing fabrics and yarns - sewing machines of domestic and industrial - machinery and cutting and Altnvic Starching, drying and ironing machines, accessories and spare parts, textile laboratory equipment, generators and industrial engines, air compressors, Security Systems and Industrial Safety, computer systems design, air conditioning and heating, ventilation and humidification, industrial water treatment systems.
